CODA

CODA Museum is the place for changing expositions with modern, visual art, contemporary fashion and artists‘ jewelry from (inter)national designers and artists, both art from and on paper. Thematic exhibitions and presentations about the history of Apeldoorn are part of the program.

Collection '40-'45

The collection ’40-’45 has grown from a ‚General Collection‘ into a local historical museum. It emphasizes what happens in Beekbergen at that time. The museum hopes that visitors can get an idea of the surroundings, in which he/she is now.

Cannenburch Castle

The castle is located in a relatively well-preserved historic environment. The old park layout and the mill streams are for example still visible.

Doorwerth Castle

Castle Doorwerth is beautifully situated in floodplains of the river Rhine. In this castle you can visit three museums. A varied hilly landscape with forests, fields and meadows is located on the moraine behind it. You can enjoy lovely cycling- and walking tours here.

Kröller-Müller Museum

The Kröller-Müller museum is a museum of modern art. In this museum you will find the second largest Van Gogh-collection of the world: almost 90 paintings and more than 180 drawings. In the Van Gogh gallery you can admire approx. 40 masterpieces by Vincent van Gogh. You will also see masterpieces by modern artists such as Claude Monet, Georges Seurat, Pablo Picasso and Piet Mondriaan. Brochures are available at the reception.

Have you ever literally taken a look underground? The Museonder offers the opportunity; it is the first underground museum in the world and is located in the visitor’s centre.

Holland Open Air Museum

The Holland Open Air Museum in Arnhem captures history. In authentic buildings, objects and true stories. It is a journey through time, from two centuries ago to very recently. It looks like the employees of this museum have run away from the past.

The Dutch Water Museum is a modern and interactive museum, that focuses on all aspects regarding water in the Netherlands, but also in the rest of the world. The museum was opened in 2004.

Palace Het Loo has been a museum in Apeldoorn since 1988. It consists of the former royal palace, the palace gardens and the Stallenplein where cars and carriages can be viewed.
